NON RESIDENT INDIANS
“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which means, “The world is a family” is the essence of Indian tradition. And who else other than the Non-Resident Indians can efficiently popularize the motto? Yes, the NRIs have the power to be the missionaries of Indianness. Since the time immemorial, we the Indians have been embracing people from all over the world. And now, we have started residing in the far away countries across the globe. A recent report published by Govt. of India says that Indians are staying even in the little known countries like Burkina Faso and so on. The non-resident Indian can create a Greater India on the basis of cultural heritage that crosses over the geographical boundaries and spread all over the world. Consequently, we will be able to generate public opinion in the whole world for any issue of India. Nobody will ever be able to ignore a public opinion created in every corner of the world. Imagine a situation when people from all the countries led by the NRIs are coming out to protest against a problem in India. Yes, the NRIs can make it possible. A powerful network of all the NRIs can make it happen.
It’s the time to form a universal brotherhood for the benefits of India and upholding the pride of being an India. But how can we do this? Can anyone suggest? We are proud of Sabeer Bhatia, we are proud of Amartya Sen, we are proud of Lakshmi Mittal. May more Non-Resident Indians make us proud!
Jai Hind !
