The word "clatter" had been derived as of the Latin expression, “nausea”, which means superfluous sound. Thus, noise can be termed as the 'superfluous sound" that hinders with the man’s comfort, communication and health. So, this definition doesn’t discriminate flanked by the pleasurable resonance and irritating sounds. Therefore, this classification had been restored by a refined meaning along with which noise had been termed as "incorrect sound at incorrect place as well as at incorrect time". Thus, clatter is the most hazardous pollutant of human being’s environment. Nowadays, noise, gradually, turned out to be an essential part of our every day life, since of the speedy development of equipments, industries as well as technology. It would not be a hyperbole to say so as to we, the Indians, is by our very personality very noisy citizens.

Every sentiment as well as every occasion within the country, whether it’s social, spiritual or the family festivity, is manifested within an extremely noisy method. If it is that election campaign, before the performance of the so-called Ram Lila's, the speakers are used broadly. Even entreaties are offered next to the highest frequency. For marriage ceremonials, the processions close down often from time to time for drinking, dancing and amusement to the complement of drum thumping. This should be the way on how we celebrate before expressing our joy next to the cost of anyone else. Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi as well as Chennai are possibly the noisiest metropolis in the nation. They register typically more than 93 (dB) decibels recorded in standard. The numerous corporations, vehicles as well as industrial unit of the primary and secondary generations that are unusually shaky and noisy, typically produce this large noise. Current noise- free equipments, however, haven’t yet replaced all these machines.

Noise effluence is a solemn threat towards the superiority of our surroundings. An unwanted noise is deserted into the environment, despite of its unpleasant effects.

in large cities it has become common that people install huge speakers and play whatever they like, where it could be music, singers singing some traditional or holy hymns or could be any stage shows. apart from these there are also some factories which open up in city limits which cause noise pollution. and the last but not the least comes from the noise pollution due to traffic! the continuous honking and beeping of cars, scooters, buses and motorbikes makes living stressful. i think government must regulate this issue seriously.

Noise pollution is gradually becoming a problem in cities as the population is growing and places are getting shorter. Even certain small scale companies or factories can be found in the city limits, for they were setup prior to urban development. Another major contributor to the noise is honking of sirens and horns by the vehicles which cause too much of mental disturbance.

    Noise Regulation Rules 2000

There are certain rules under the Noise Regulation Rules 2000. The rules regulate noise levels in industrial, (75 decibels) commercial (65 decibels) and residential zones (55 decibels), and also establish zones of silence (100 meters) near schools, courts, and hospitals. Where as the WHO has laid guide lines that sound should not exceed 45 decibels in residential areas. Hardly we can find any of such areas where sound is within the prescribed limits. What do you think should be done?

Pollution in every way is increasing in India and is not only affecting the human lives but also the lives of plants and animals. Many plants and animals almost extinct due to pollution. Noise pollution has become one of the major concern and is creating a lot of problem in the society. Noise pollution causes deafness, mental disorder, can cause heart attacks, affects the growth of a child in mother's womb and lots more. Government should make strict laws regarding this and take steps in reducing noise pollution.

Noise Pollution is mainly caused by transportation and vehicular sound. It is one of the major issues that India is facing today. Although there have been many provisions made to prevent noise pollution but none of them have been implemented as they were supposed to be and it is increasing day by day. The reason behind this is lack of proper implementation of laws in our society. Government and its machineries needs to be strict inorder to prevent noise pollution in our country.

Noise pollution as well is increasing in India and despite of enacting laws to control noise pollution, there is no decline in the pollution level. The main reason is lack of proper implementation of laws and lack of awareness. People do not understand the graveness of the issue. Awareness campaigns should be run by the Government, displaying the harmful effect of noise pollution in order to control it.
