The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued "The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010" which acts as a shield for telecom customers from from Unsolicited Commercial Communication. The National Customer Call Preference Registry enables the telecom users to block any number by registering the number in the "Do Not Call Registry". The National Customer Call Preference Registry helps in getting rid of unwanted calls, especially Telemarketing calls during odd hours.
