Nagore is pilgrimage center as it features popular pilgrim centre Nagore Dargah and is situated in the Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu. The town has a rich historical background and the place was visited by the Chinese traveller Hiuen Tsang referred to the destination as Buddha Vihar in his book.
