LG has earlier introduced Optimus 3D which was not very successful in the market and they have come up with 3D Max with some changes to the earlier version. The phone looks similar to Samsung Galaxy S II in terms of design and the phone is comparatively lighter and more compact as compared to the earlier phones launched by LG. The Optimus 3D Max comes with a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor with a TI OMAP 4430 chipset and PowerVR SGX540 graphics. The device runs on Android Gingerbread operating system which is quite outdated with the coming of Ice Cream Sandwich and has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. The rare problems that the phone comes up with are solved with Jelly bean. 3D technology is incorporated into the phone but is not very much effective. The media of the phone is quite good. For connectivity, the phone is equipped with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and the usual connectivity options lacks HDMI which was present even in the earlier versions. Browsing is not very smooth. The phone comes with preloaded Facebook and Twitter for social networking. The phone has a front facing VGA camera and two 5MP cameras with LED Flash at the rear. The cameras are good enough for 2D shots but not good enough for 3D. The battery backup of the phone isn’t very impressive. The phone is priced at Rs. 30,500/- which seems to be little more than what the phone actually offers.
