    Promote Hindi

Hindi is our national language. Today with the advent of technology and globalization, English language is becoming more prominent and is in regular use. However, people of India are forgetting their own language. There are many common English words, which are so much in use that people do not even know their Hindi words. The younger generation feels in easy to communicate in English than in their own language. To promote Hindi, we should take help of technology, which is has high and easy access in everybody's life. More of the internet sites and search engines should be in Hindi and the best way to start is to have a special Hindi keyboard.

yes i think it is high time that we should grab hold the attention of us all indians to address this issue. people in metro cities are more inclined towards western culture and thus the language being taken up youngsters is english. since youngsters are the future of india they should take care of learning proper hindi and preserving indian culture for the future.

    Hi All,
Firstly Hindi is not our national language. There is no mention of a national language in our constitution. It is one of the official language.
Yes colonial rule has made us lean towards English.
But it should not be at the cost of our own languages.
We need to learn local language including Hindi but also have a good knowledge of English. Thats the reality.
But use English only when needed.
Do not encourage children to speak English in house. we should communicate in mother tongue.

Hindi is our mother tongue and we must use it no matter how much the influence of western culture come across. We must respect our language and promote this language in other countries as this is the most popular language around the world after English, Spanish and Chinese.

Hindi is our national language and mother tongue. people are forgetting the value of this language as they are forgetting that the origin of other languages including English has been derived from the Indian languages like Sanskrit and hindi words. People should not move with the flow of the western culture instead they should try to promote their very own language Hindi..

hindi being the national language is spoken by most of the indian population. but in some parts of india there are regional languages being given importance. under such circumstances, there is no centralized indian language being left. for example people from nothern states find it difficult to converse with people in south as the people in south are confined to their own language.

Yes, but only a few group of people find it difficult but most of the states in india people speaks only hindi and understand hindi. They use hindi as their main language. So government should make hindi compulsory as a language in schools and colleges as it is the national language of the country.

hindi is the most opted language all over the nation and is also the tongue of many indians. apart from some south indian states all other states welcome hindi to be made mandatory. thus government should try to convince those states and make a common indian language prevail in our nation.

Hindi is the national language but no one is interested in promoting hindi. How many of you read hidni newspapers or search on hindi websites? Rare and yes people feel shame while doing so. The language is taken over rapidly by English, which is indeed a universal language but not a national language at all. So we should take in fact govt should make hindi compulsory in various fields and indian Ministers should always use hindi as they are the figure that reflects the nation features. promote hindi!

People are busy in learning different languages these days such as french, German and other international languages to enhance their profile and CV. They find it quite indigestible to write Hindi their mother tongue or national language as people prefer those employees for job and other fields who know other nation's language over their own. So promotion of hindi is quite difficult in this era, though I strongly support the promotion of the language as its wiping off slowly from the country.

In my view the central government must make it mandatory for all the schools to enroll Hindi as a first language to all the students. And regional languages can be put as second language. If this is not done soon enough, there shall come a day when we would find Hindi at peril and all the foreign languages prevailing in India just because of the ignorance of youth.

India has about 1618 languages that are spoken all over the nation. However,Hindi has been declared as the National language and thus every Indian should know it. Nevertheless, in recent times, it has been observed that English has taken over our national language and it has become immensely important to promote the language. Hindi should be made compulsory in every schools at least up to 10th standard even in vernacular mediums of every state. Even in the proceedings of the Parliament it should be made compulsory to speak in Hindi. Moreover, Government should take step in promotion and preservation of the language.
