My Dear fellow Indians, We, in India, have been suffering this undying melody of terrorism for decades. They come and hit us with impunity and the results are there for all to see. As citizens, we too have a major role to play in anti terrorism. We cannot always lay the blame on the government to protect us and our loved once and at the same time, shirk our responsibilities. A place to live: Are you suspicious about any tenants or guests? To plan: Have you seen anyone pay an unusual amount of attention to security measures at any location? Money: Individuals may set up bogus bank accounts, copy credit cards, return goods for large cash refunds. Equipment: If you are a retailer, do you have any cause to be suspicious about anything being bought? Our ability to prevent a terrorist attack does not depend on the authorities alone. How well we cope also depends on you. Keep Alert Terrorist bomb attacks mostly happen in public places, especially where people gather or travel.. Be vigilant Look out for suspicious behavior, vehicles or packages Do not hesitate to tell the police Surveillance: Are you aware of anyone video recording or monitoring activities, taking notes, using cameras, maps, binoculars, etc., near key facilities/events? Suspicious Questioning: Are you aware of anyone attempting to gain information in person, by phone, mail, email, etc., regarding a key facility or people who work there? Tests of Security: Are you aware of any attempts to penetrate or test physical security or procedures at a key facility/event? Acquiring Supplies: Are you aware of anyone attempting to improperly acquire explosives, weapons, ammunition, dangerous chemicals, uniforms, badges, flight manuals, access cards or identification for a key facility/event or to legally obtain items under suspicious circumstances that could be used in a terrorist attack? Suspicious Persons: Are you aware of anyone who does not appear to belong in the workplace, neighborhood, business establishment or near a key facility/event? Deploying Assets: Have you observed abandoned vehicles, stockpiling of suspicious materials, or persons being deployed near a key facility/event? If you answered yes to any of the above...if you have observed any suspicious activity that may relate to terrorism...again, please contact the local police or call 1090. Your tip could save the lives of innocent people, just like yours and mine. Jai hind Let's Fight Terror Together
It is better to fight with the prevailing corruption in the country rather then going for the terrorism. People if leave their pity selfish interest and not help the terrorist then these attacks are not possible. its only we who give way to these terrorist attacks by helping them and entering in our country. The primary thing that needs a change is the indian law. it is very important to change the corruption scenario of the country then only something is possible.
We have won one fight against corruption on 8th April 2011 with the india's most prominent individual Anna hazare who not only looks like M.K. Gandhi but also has the power to follow his path. HE is an outstanding person who helped the people in fighting with corruption in his own way. Salutes to him! I am sure the day is not far when we will win over the fight against terrorism as well.
I guess the best way to fight against terrorism is to make people of the opposite country in our favor and taht can only be done through joining the opposite country's economy to our country. There are many people in Pakistan who wants to go for business relation with india. But only few handful of people who created hatred among each other giving it a name of terrorism are fighting on the name of religion and land. This is simply sick. We must think beyond this.
Terrorism-An Infinite Threat to humanity. The regions with long term terrorist activities today are Jammu and Kashmir, Mumbai, Central India and the Seven Sister States. Terrorism has drenched the strength- both in terms of man power and finances,of India. It continues to be the main threat to India even today, especially with growing nuclear abilities of it's neighboring states.
I guess people if come to fight against terrorism them they can definitely win the battle. Terrorism is the main cause that hampers not only the indian economy, tourists flow but also the peace of the country. so fight against terror activities is a must thing and need as of now. We should cooperate with the government and police officials.
All people can do is try being more vigilant during their day to day activities. Only then can terrorism be handled. It has to be a collective effort because police all the time cannot keep an eye on everything. At the same time police officials should respond to the suspicions of people, else there would be no efforts from citizens end.
There are many people who want to put an end on terrorism but this is not done practically as people all around the world are not same and time needs force people to fall in the category of corruption. Many people take up terror activities and put up human bomb just because they are poor and want to leave behind lots of money for their family. So getting involved in terror activities to some people is their family circumstances.
Terrorism In India is growing day by day at rapid speed and latest bomb blasts in mumbai are the examples. Jammu & Kashmir, one Indian region affected with terrorist activities most. Punjab insurgency in past led to militant-activities in Punjab, Delhi serial blasts and even anti sikh riots. In 2006, 232 of indian 608 districts were afflicted by various terrorist movements.
Foreign Hands In Indian Terrorism is the live instance of Mumbai attack and I am 100% agree with the above comment. Indian terrorism has frequently been alleged to be Pakistan sponsored. Following many terrorist acts in India, most of politicians, and journalists accuse Pakistan's inter service intelligence agency. Even Afghanistan and US recently accused Pakistan for terrorist attacks on Afghanistan.
Attacks Against Christians in India is the latest news. Violent attacks on Indian Christians have increased in current years, such violent attacks include arson-of-churches, conversion of Christians into Hinduism, burning Bibles, raping nuns, Christian schools, colleges' destruction. In 1964-1996 38 such incidents were reported. In 2007-2008 such tensions were noticed in Orissa, Karnataka, Madhya-Pradesh.
Terrorism has always been haunting India. Be it Kashmir or Assam, terrorism has not spared a single part of the Nation. It has become a threat to National Security. There have been countless terrorist attacks in India, taking away the lives of many innocent people. It is time for people to join hands and fight against terrorism. Government should take serious steps against terrorist attacks instead of giving them any chance for peace talks etc. These terrorist should be hanged till death and no sympathy should be shown to them. This can perhaps solve the issue to a certain extent.
Terrorism no doubt is a threat to the entire human race not subjective to a particular state or country. Terrorism has two categories, one that emerges out internally, within the borders of the country, impinging from communalism and caste politics and regional issues and the other is external terrorism that from neighboring countries. However to make India free from terrorism, to protect the nation, the first step should be towards promoting communal harmony amongst the states and the regions. Only if India unites into one, establishing the once said 'Unity in Diversity' it can fight back external terrorism.
