Their are laws layed down by the Indian jurisdiction to protect the interest of Indian women against the evils of the society.These are- Prevention of the immortal traffic, the sati ( widow burning) act, and the dowry prevention act. Unfortunately, the legal bodies fail to implement the same in the Nation. Dowry, female bondage, and forced prostitution are widespread in some parts of the country.
