If districts are changed every five years (to diff states) then what about the regional language that is taught in schools of that district? and the sign boards of all shops?
India is a country where people having different language or u can say regional language. Well Hindi is our national language but now its the requirement of the time to know English. If u are not good in English than its not easy getting a good job in corporate.
india is the only country in the whole world where even after the division of so many languages into different states, those states have their own sub-languages and many branches inside them as well. for example in stae of Bihar, Maithali is spoken but you will be suprised to know that even Maithali and other languages of bihar have around 200 different types.
i think if that is done, there should not be any reason why the sign boards should be changed. as long as people in that region are acquainted with that language and have no problem with it, there is no need for a change. coming to the student who are taught regional language, they should be taught other languages first..like hindi and english which are pre requisites.
i think regional languages should prevail as they are because geography remains the same except that there is a creation of partition. if people start taking it otherwise a common language of the regions in a state or the national language could be used and be made mandatory so that there is no more repercussions on the issue.
People of India are very talented and i don't think they will get disturbed by changing the language on the boards...
India is a country that has quite a huge history. Its languages are unique as well as is having a great culture. When few people wish to learn the mother tongue language Hindi they require to learn the culture restricted to this land. Languages, broadly telling, is a part of indian culture. If people want to learn the language then they need to understand the culture of the land first. Indian culture and language is going far way and spreading its power.
There are many languages that are spoken in india since ages. People of different state and community speaks various languages that are not similar. When you talk about the state formation and the impact on the regional language that has been taught in particular state then I shall say that the government will definitely have planned something for that. Change in the state does not mean change in the curricular as it is same throughout the nation depending up on the affiliation and university.
Being a national language Hindi must be taught in every state and city of India. This will make Hindi a common language for India and people will not be afraid in traveling south from north, east from west. This will help a lot in generating state revenue also through tourism. We are largely dependent on European countries and on US. So, to communicate with them knowledge of English is must. Atleast people must know that much English so that they can communicate with Europeans and Americans. Writers are other category who are looking for a depth knowledge in English for their writing purpose.
The languages in India belong to several language families, the major ones being the Indo-European languages---Indo-Aryan which are spoken by 72% of Indians and the Dravidian languages which are spoken by 25% of Indians. The principal official language of India is Standard Hindi while English is the secondary official language.
Hindi is our NATIONAL language we have to speak in HINDI. But now days, in schools colleges students has to give more stress no speaking in English whether they are good or can say uncomfortable to speak in English , but they have to speak only in English rather than their mother-tongue and national language. now day we can see a lot of English learning schools in our cities.......which tells us about "" English is important in today's time........""
Why to change signboards people should be stick to there language only and for students hindi shld be taught first as it is our national language and in many state ppl don't understand hindi.
Hindi is the official language of India however, every state has their own language and people are more comfortable in speaking their mother tongue. Language in my view should not be a barrier to communication. English is now-a-days more popularly spoken and taught as it helps to communicate better while working in MNCs etc. Hindi being the National language should not be neglected and given equal importance as English.
When the government changes states to districts,I believe their should not be any controversy regarding what should be taught in the schools.English and Hindi must be compulsory and the regional language should be taught as demanded by the people.Signboards should not be too much of an issue as they are written in English or Hindi and the Regional translation is done.
India is a nation that has over 1600 languages that are spoken by various people in different parts of the nation. These languages proves the diversity that prevails in India. Hindi has already been declared as the National Language and English is considered as the second important language and in my view, these two languages should be given prime importance and made compulsory in schools instead of making necessary fuss over regional languages.
I think the division of new state is according to same regional language only. Now a days every one are studying in English medium and Hindi is a compulsory subject, optional is our regional language. Not more issues with languages now a days.
