Kritika Biswas has sued the New York City for dollars 1.5 million. Kritika Biswas daughter of vice counsel at the Indian Consulate in Manhattan, Debashish Biswas, was wrongfully arrested and allegedly ill treated in the prison. She was arrested for more than 24 hours on 8 February 2011, under suspicion of sending obscene email to her teacher at Queens' John Browne High School. I find it intriguing that on a mere complaint she was arrested. Moreover the student who confessed to the crime was just asked to join another school. Why was no Strict action taken against the actual culprit? It is extremely disturbing when an Indian is treated in such a ruthless manner. Look at the manner in which this case has been handled over there. This is nothing but double standards of Americans.
