Kolad is situated in Mahad region of the district of Raigad in Maharashtra. This is small village but a famous adventure destination of India. The place is famous for waterfalls and hills which allows adventure activities like trekking, white water river rafting, kayaking, boating, river crossing and paragliding. Jungle camping is another adventure activity that attracts the visitors. Apart from these, the place also has some tourist destinations, which includes Bhira Dam, Ghosla Fort, Tala Fort, Dholwal Dam, Kuda Caves, Tamhini Falls and Sutarwadi Lake.
