As expected, Pakistan has begun using the clumsy formulations in the Indo-Pak joint statement to demand dialogue on Kashmir. Seizing upon the promise in the joint statement on dialogue over all “outstanding issues,” the Pakistan government on Wednesday said there cannot be any talks with India unless Kashmir issue is put on the table. The Pakistan side also went on to say that Kashmir needed to be free. “We are not ignoring problems with India. We cannot think of peace in the region without solving the Kashmir issue. Terrorism is also a very big issue in front of us. We are trying to solve all the issues that we are facing,” Pakistan’s foreign office spokesman Abdul Basit said. The development cannot but be discomforting for the Manmohan Singh government, as its leadership has been laying lot of premium on Islamabad’s so called anti-terror commitments. The prime minister, who walked the extra mile at Sharm el-Sheikh, not just de-bracketed composite dialogue from action on terror but pledged to discuss all outstanding issues. ``Action on terrorism should not be linked to the composite dialogue process and these should not be bracketed. Kashmir should be made NO Issue Let the message from the Government and people of India be loud and clear...The whole of the region of Jammu and Kashmir including what Pakistan names as Azad Kashmir is one State under the Union of Jammu and Kashmir.Whether Pakistan and its friends accept this or NOT,is their problem.Indian stand will be constant and India will always strive in peaceful ways to reunite the divided Kashmir. Its the sacred duty of every Indian towards each and every Kashmir brother and sister to bring the separated and Pakistan occupied Kashmir back to Indian control and allow them to function with their best of abilities like any other Indian state. The rest of the issues,what Kashmir separatist say,how they misguide our Kashmir brothers and sisters,how Pakistan encourages and participates in creating violence in Kashmir will all remain as part of the history,when we succeed in doing our duties towards our Kashmir brothers and sisters i.e. reunite them with their counterparts in Pakistan.That is our duty and Indians should be proud to accomplish that sacred duty.Good luck for all the kashmiries and Good luck for Indians...Jai Hind
Hi In my opinion Terrorism is not a very big issue in front of us. The main issue is the condition of Muslims - not in India but in the World and they are responsible for this. For better example, go to any Muslim colony in India, how conjusted, dirty, .... Average education of most muslims - very low. Most of them are illitrate> jobless> poor> easily exploitable - by mullas, muslims and all. Indian govt. must look on these issues first, if they really want to resolve the issue - otherwise this will be a blasting situation in few years. Ajay Singh Delhi
