It is really interesting to know about what Kamlesh Zapadiya is doing in order to make education interesting for his students. He travels 25kms everyday just for the sake of his students and to fulfil his dreams of making education amiable among the young students. He firmly believes that education is the biggest gift that one can give to his/her country. And he is preaching exactly what he believes in. He is a 35 years old teacher belonging to Rajkot, Gujarat. He was very sad to see the way his students used to perceive education, he felt that student merely take interest in studying and take their syllabus as a big burden. Thus he decided to make education interesting for his student so that they start taking interest in studying and they do not study out of any compulsion. Kamlesh has come up with an innovative idea of converting the entire syllabus from classes 1-10 into a Quiz format. With the help of his close friends he has actually developed a Website namely ‘Edusafar’ where they have uploaded the entire syllabus. This format is like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and has been recognized by the Indian Institute of Management—Ahmadabad. The syllabus on the website can be uploaded free of cost and would be available for the use very soon as it just need a final proofreading. This task has not been easy for Kamlesh as he has to face many limitations every day the biggest limitation for him is electricity, he lives in wadi (orchard) to take care of the farm with his family but whenever he needs to do something related to website then he has to travel very far to get his laptop and phone connected. Then there is communication problem he cannot freely communicate with his other members involved in the work. Kamlesh is doing really hard work to make education easily accessible for the students; he has himself done a lot of research work for developing the website. He is further planning to develop an App for those who are aspiring for competitive exams. Kamlesh Zapadia has been one amongst the 100 teachers who were felicitated by the Gujarat Innovative Education Council and the Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training, for their innovative ideas in education. It’s really great of you Kamlesh! What you are doing is truly worthy of appreciation and would be beneficial for the student of this country. We wish you good luck.
