Media has a big role to play for the people of the society. As far as I know and remember in the last few years media actually has thrown light over a lot of hidden facts and issues related to the society. Media has immensely helped in bringing a 'social awareness' in the people. There was a time when people were just ignorant of the issues and problems of the society but it is the media that have acknowledged the people about those matters and not only this but through its medium, it has encouraged the masses to join together to raise the voice. Now nothing is hidden from the common man, a layman also knows about each activity taking place in the society. Media is providing a platform for the vivid people who are raising their voices to reach to the people. It has evoked the 'public and collective consciousness' among the people of the Indian society. what is your view about the media and its contribution to the Indian society?
