Tell me guys is it important that regional politics should come into existance. ISn't the central government is enough to deal with the nation's issues? Give your views in and against the problem..
@Proudy Regional Parties are a must. Well If it was USA or UK the thing is different altogether. They are not that diverse as we are. India is a big nation with lots. Its a giant jigsaw which is made from lots of small peices. Regional Parties are the ones who can highlight thier problems with the centre.
yes i think it is very important to have regional politics as this enables a close view to the issues of the places in a state. if all the places were centrally controlled then addressing issues would be a problem. the state government controls everything regionally and important and crucial issues are passed on to the next higher government which makes things lot easier.
regional politics enables a region to come up well without much involvement of central government. everytime the central gov cannot take responsibility for things going on in a region as india is a large nation. regional politics helps the existing government do its task optimally as there would be competition from other parties.
yes, indeed..regional politics does help central gov a lot in sharing the work. the central gov cannot alone take responsibility of whole country as indian democracy is very large and hard to tackle. regional politics helps the locals to come to into power and smaller issues can be resolved within state itself..
Regional politics are equally essential as is the national politics. In my view a centralized political leadership cannot alone take care of all the states in our country because we have huge diversity in people with respect to regions. Under such circumstances, if issues are shared and solved according to the priorities, the governance becomes a lot easier.
I do not think personally that there is any need of having a regional politics in india. I guess it creates a sense of division and separateness among people politically, regionally and state wise. I think there should not be any politics in fact the parties should work for the empowerment of people of all the states and not just one. Creating more and more regional parties would only create chaos and feeling of division in the country.
I am strongly against regional politics as regional politics pave way to the growth of separatism and being a mixed cultural country it is not at all good to have a regional politics as I agree with Sweetangel's point of view that it gives birth to divide and rule policies among people of one nation on the basis of region. It is always good to resolve matters or create new policies under one government.
India has 28 states and seven Union territories. It is impossible for a single handed government to keep an eye on every issues of every state and here comes the need of regional politics. Every thing has both merits and demerits similarly regional politics has both merits and demerits. However, we should concentrate more on its merits. Regional politics helps the local government to come in power. The local government lends a hand to the central government by dealing with their own regional issues reducing the work of the government at the centre. It can deal with the problems and issues of their own respective states more efficiently and more effectively because they themselves are part of the problem. In a democratic country like India regional politics is essential despite of its demerits.
India is denoted as a sub-continent. It is the World's largest democracy and thus it is not possible to govern the country single handedly by having just one government at the center. Regional politics helps in better governance. In my view, regional politics plays an essential role in proper governance of the Nation although it has certain demerits.
I am in favour of regional politics because India being a vast nation it is not possible for solely the Central Government to tackle the issues of the nation. The concept of regional politics has reduced the burden from the Central Government by tackling the issues pertaining to states and also helps in smooth governance.
