We often say that the Indian culture and heritage is so powerful that it has acted like a strong backbone and has made Indian stand tall through our tough times. However, the generation of today, do not compliment with this ideology any more. They believe that there cultural values are very rigid and highly orthodox and they hypocritically stop them from moving forward. Gradually we see the generation of today shedding layers of our ethnic values and moving towards westernization, as they feel they it is easy to adapt and abide.

Is this true that Indian culture is rigid and creates problem for the people who want to grow? Is our own culture making India a country with orthodox approach?

    Growth lies n own hands

Indian culture can't act as hurdle in our growth as it is up to us what to adopt and how to adopt. Indian culture has lost it's rigidity with time and modern education. The youth these days ask reasons for any custom or ritual to be followed, they need to be convinced for everything first. Thus Indian culture has become flexible and if anybody wants growth nothing can stop him even the culture.

i do agree to the view that our culture is becoming a hurdle in the growth of our country as well as countrymen and women. but at the same time, i also feel that we are being flexible enough at this point of time as we do not let social concerns harm our careers, education or professional lives.
even in our family affairs, we do not let the society interrupt!
this is not being selfish,. but being self-conscious.
if we do not let the society, culture and other social concerns become a hurdle in out success path, we are on the right track!

no i dont think so that our culture can in any ways cause hurdles. its just our ideology and adjustability that makes us feel so. we are not adjusting with development and our culture simultaneously. we want to take up completely western culture which i dont think so is good for our future. this is because indian culture need to be preserved for next generation to come.

noways, i do not think so.. our culture is very much liberal and favourable for utmost growth. its just the lack of our efforts in right way to go in the direction of growth that we are feeling it as hurdle. look at the countries like japan, china who with their own culture are growing with a good pace and developing their country like any other fast growing countries.

I don't agree that Indian culture is acting as hurdle in our growth. Indian culture has always been a support for our growth and progress. However, today the youth are getting more and more attracted towards the western culture. The western culture which has no traditional values in it, makes it more liberal and this is what attracts the youth. However, our rich culture is the reason for our development and progress and has always helped us remain united.

Definitely Indian culture is not acting as a hindrance in the growth of our nation. Indian culture is no doubt age-old culture but its richness has always facilitated towards the growth of the nation. It has attracted a lot of tourist to the nation and have helped in improving the tourism and this has immensely helped in the growth and development of India to a remarkable extent.
