International relation is the study of relationships between countries that includes the roles of states, inter-government organizations, international nongovernmental organizations, non-government organizations and multinational corporations. The history of international relations is often traced back to the Peace of Westphalia in the year of 1648 where the modern state system was developed.
International relations are very important these days because no country is self sufficient and since there is globalization taking place in every sector, it becomes imminent to have good relations with the countries around the globe. Slowly International politics have also emerged out of international relations where nations need to take strategic and deliberate decisions.
The history of international relations based on nation-states is often traced back to the Peace of Westphalia of 1648 where the modern state system was developed. Prior to this, the European medieval organization of political authority was based on a vaguely hierarchical religious order.
International relations are equally important as the internal politics of a nation is. Since almost all the nations are witnessing globalization, it becomes pertinent that they develop good tie ups with other nations to boost their trade, commerce and economy.
