Intense competition between Intel and AMD, which manufacture nearly all the processors produced in the world, has hastened the pace of performance improvement of processors and, has made powerful and efficient processors affordable to large number of people.

Intel has the upper hand now but AMD is far from giving up. In spite of declining market share and mounting losses, AMD continues to churn out state of the art processors and keep Intel on its toes.

Personally, I support AMD because everyone favors the underdog and dislike the goon

well I dnt knw much about the topic but yes thanks 4 the info I will search out and yes in market it usually happens as in the rivalry of 2 companies consumers get benefits, just like the competition going now a days between all the cellular companies, they are reducing the call rates to attract customers!

Been using computers since 1991. Found Intel way ahead in terms of performance, albeit costlier than AMD.
I do a lot of multi-tasking, got 3 VMs running in my system any given time plus the many terminal consoles of different other servers.

I used AMD(processor) once and it freaked me out. I bid my farewell!!!

AMD is simply awesome. Intel is good but AMD has its own taste. I am from Bangalore, India the IT city and I have ample knowledge about this as well all because of the Bangalore. This city is great even greater than your expectations.

    Intel

    Hi

Intel is the preferred one compared to amd. if you spend much time on amd processer generates a lot heat.where as intel not more.

In past AMD had heating problems But now they are as good as Intel ...
I too am a a big fan of AMD .. but recently I bought Intel because I was unable to find a good and high performance motherboard for AMDs.

both of them are good brands, AMD is more of like powerful than Intel. when you compare a AMD processor of 2.5 GHz and the same Intel 2.5, AMD is way superior to Intel. performance wise AMD is the best. there is no match to AMD, but the only thing it lacks is that it does not support wide range of processors and other accessories.
