Parenting is a crucial task that must not be gender biased at all! Especially when it comes to the parenting of the girls, our Indian society seems to be extremely biased and prejudiced, that it should not be. Girls too 'deserve' equality and freedom in life. They are not indifferent people but a significant part of the society and the country. Their parenting too needs to be given with care, seriousness and affection. They should be given such a parenting that helps them to raise their self esteem and confidence. Parents should encourage their daughters to learn and experience new and complicated activities whose accomplishment fills them with pride and self confidence. Especially the masculine tasks should be given to the girls so that they come to know about their physical limits. Parenting of girls should be the way that makes them self sufficient and independent. Why a girl should look for another person to fill a Cheque in the bank, why can't she change the bulbs and tube-lights of the home on her own, why can't she hit the nail with hammer? She can do everything; in fact when a child is small he/she doesn't learn the things according to the genders, learning is just a simple and natural process for him/her. It is only the parents responsible for; what do they serve in front of children. If the girls would be taught everything right from their childhood, they would continue with it even more better. It is the responsibility of the parents to cater the activities to their daughter that inspire their confidence and self esteem level.
