The mighty USSR is no more, but its legacy is still carrying forward by Russia. In international politics, Russia is still a good friend of India. Since the tenure of Jawahar lal Nehru, many measures have been taken up to promote people to people relation between Russia and India. Many prominent Russian books were translated into the Indian languages and vice versa. A Russian magazine was also published in most of the major languages of India by the name “Soviet Desh”. In the recent times, we have not seen such effort to continue this people to people to relation between Russia and India.
