The modern Indian youth is facing many health issues at the present time. Because their lifestyles and habits have truly been changed and somewhere degraded. Their life has become too much faster due to which their activities and daily routines are getting highly disturbed. There is no proper timing of eating, they face lack of sleep, do not follow any regime or don't exercise, junk food has totally deteriorated and replaced the nutritional values of food. Wrong addictions of drinking, smoking, drugs have been adapted among the youth. The mental peace seems to be just lost out of their lives, there is no harmony in relationships, betrayals, fights arguments anger has become the way of leading the life. With such a pathetic lifestyle and habits how can be a one stay healthy? Obesity, cholesterol, depression, mood swings, chronic illness, self-injury, (suicides in extreme cases), homelessness are the physical and mental problem most often in the modern youth. The urban youth is found to be involved in unhealthy activities and habits whereas the deprived and under-privileged youth already facing the scarcity of resources, facilities, food, shelter, medical treatments thus their health is also a serious matter of concern. There is a desperate need to guide and conduct the lifestyles and habits of the youth. And on the other side the government and health ministry should make better policies and programs that can provide food and other essentials to improve the health of deprived youth. Health is wealth and the youth is the future of this country, if they are not fit and fine how would they be able to make a healthy and wealthy nation.
