Violence is not always in the physical form. The verbal taunts, harsh words, the abusive / slang language used against the person or particularly the woman is also one of the forms of violence. In the Indian society, however this kind of violence has always been neglected. Most of the women usually suffer such a violence daily committed against them. Their husbands and other elder family members sometimes use verbal violence to harass a woman in the family. This kind of violence is more prevalent among the literate families where they avoid physical violence or feel it to be used only in extreme cases otherwise verbal violence is the best medium for them to use against the woman. The lady who suffers from this verbal violence feel shattered and awful and she literally feels that physical violence is rather much better than this verbal one. Because the impact of this verbal violence is unseen to others, but deep within the heart it shatters the lady completely. She feels so degraded and looses all her dignity and self esteem. Such ladies are usually found to be the victims of deep depression and see no ray of hope for them. Such women truly need a lot of sympathy, compassion and moreover counselling so that they can disclose and express their problems with others and can also revive themselves from such a deep suffering.
