How safe are the Indian Women in the present time of the Indian society? They cannot walk freely on the roads because of eve-teasing, feel scared of walking alone in the streets, just cannot imagine going out of their homes late night, in fact they feel insecure at every place wherever they go. There has been ado about women's protection and women's safety that gets flared up whenever a new crime takes place against the girls/women in the city. Indian women are deliberately waiting for the day when all the crimes, violence and assaults against them would be put to an end! They are hopeful that perhaps the deaf and dumb government would someday miraculously hear and see their pain and trauma which they go through each day while living into an unsafe city and country. This is really very sad that even after the grieving death of many innocent girls the government is still not able to provide complete security and safety for the women. Nothing has been changed but we are still hopeful that someday we women would be able to feel free and safe in our own country. Damini would always be remembered for her courage and bravery with which she faced the brutality done to her! We all pay her a tribute and with the end of this year pray that India becomes safer for the women as soon as possible.
