India have become a very unsafe place for women and several cases of sexual assault, rapes, etc are reported on a regular basis. In my opinion, every woman should take responsibility of their own safety instead of having expectations from law or law governing bodies. What do you think?
It is indeed very true that our country has become unsafe for women. The initial step to be taken to prevent these kind of incidents is that the women should take care of themselves before expecting someone to help them out when they got struck in any kind of trouble.
You are right that women should take complete responsibility of their own safety and should no longer rely on others such as law or society for their safety. Women should be more conscious and stay safe in order to avoid any kind of violence against them. Every women should realize that their own safety is in their own hands and they should take every precaution to remain safe.
I agree that instead to expecting from others for the safety, it is important that women should take the responsibility of their own safety. If they themselves remain safe, the chances of falling victims of various sexual assault or other crimes will be lessened. Seeing at the present condition, it is better to remain safe by themselves rather than depending on others for their safety.
India is the 4th most unsafe nation in the World for women and this is a matter of shame. Neither the government nor the other law governing bodies are taking any responsibility for the increasing crimes against women. I agree that women must take their own responsibility for safety instead of relying upon other for their safety and security.
Responsibility must be collective, though I agree that a proactive role of women is needed at present, but I also think that responsibility simply has to be collective. We cannot expect change in a single day, and until the change we need arrives, we must work together, we must fight the demons together. The fight is not of your's alone my sister, I need to fight for my sisters, my mothers and all women around me.
