The decisions and choices of Indian women have always been imposed and influenced by their families and other important people in their life. Indian women are already brought in so much of gender biases where they were already taught what activities they should pursue, what is good or bad for them, and a long list of Dos’ and Don’ts has already been catered to them. They were already made to believe that they are tender and sensitive, that they are dependent. And this imposition of other’s interference has commonly been seen in the career making choices of Indian women. Indian society has actually already classified the best and ‘most suitable’ jobs for Indian women which they are always encouraged to opt by their parents and families. Since the women are considered to be delicate and gentle hence the masculine jobs (armed forces, paramilitary services and adventurous jobs) are just “not applicable” for them. Rather jobs of teaching, counseling, consulting, communication are classified to be the best career options for the Indian women. Indian women are brought up in an atmosphere that teaches and train them to become a purely family devotee, whose priority should be the family and children at first and then her own aspiration and career that is why the Indian society has preconceived and classified even the career choices for them.
