IPL and the showcase of the budding talents

We cannot deny the fact that Ranji Trophy has lost its charm. Earlier it used to be the most popular domestic cricket league of India where the budding cricketers got the opportunity to show their talents. Many players in the national team were selected after their superb performance in Ranji Trophy.

Can the same be said of “IPL” in the recent time? As only a few players are selected for the national time, scores of talented players don’t get an opportunity to show their talents in front of the people of India. We think that Indian Premier League T20 is the best opportunity for such payers.

Overwhelming Popularity of this league is one more reason for thinking of IPL as the best platform to showcase the budding talents of our country.A domestic league for the budding players was greatly felt by the cricket fans.

Domestic football leagues are popular throughout Europe. It has also helped the European countries to build their strong national teams. We look forward to Indian Premier League T20 to play a significant role in strengthening our national cricket team. Because the spirit of unity that crosses over the state boundaries is associated with our national cricket team which can be called one of the greatest expressions of our nationalism.

    Hello Friends

I think theres is difference between Cricket and Football because we know, cricket have three diffrent game like Test Cricket, One Day cricket and T-20.

Ranji trophy is based on Test Cricket so Ranji trophy can help the nation to build there Test and One day team but IPL which based on T-20 format does help only T-20 format means t-20 team and we know the indian player who perform good in IPL the chance to select in national t-20 team is more so we can not say this IPL does not help in any sense

    Thanks

i do agree that IPL is a good platform to portray the young talent as they get to play with various cricketers of all nations. but then the national level cadre and the status of ranji trophy are getting diminished with such matches and so we should not support it by any means. nevertheless it is a good entertainment.

IPL is good thing but it has been like a gambling and fixing. matches are almost fix in IPL and its more of a fun rather than a true game. But one thing that attracts me about IPL is that players around the world play together that brings a new definition of friendship in the countries.

IPL is a better platform for youngsters to show their talent. But the thing is that IPL is conducted only as a one form of sport. While other forms of sport are completely dependent on classic Ranji trophy. May be t-20 format is entertaining, but the cricketing style does lies in test matches. So its not the case, Ranji trophy has lost its charm, besides Ranji trophy, IPL is playing huge role in creating strong Indian team for t-20 format. This IPL is followed and liked by each cricket lover these days.
