The journey of Indian Politics has not been very smooth since India's independence. The partition between India and Pakistan had created a lot of disturbance in the Nation. Pakistan illegally occupied Northern part of Kashmir and the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru took an extremely wrong decision of stopping the Indian Army to remove the illegal immigrants and India is still paying for it. In the year 195o, the Constitution was adopted which declared India as a democratic country and to upheld Indian democracy, in the year 1952, the first general election was held and Nehru again became the Prime Minister of India. There was several development since then and many new parties were formed with their own ideology. However, in recent times, the Indian politics has declined drastically. The coalition politics is responsible for this decline. With several parties being formed both on the National level as well as regional level, has actually ruined Indian Politics. Democracy is just namesake in India and all the powers are being enjoyed solely by the politicians.

India has faced lots of ups and downs since time unknown and it faced even more problems in every aspect be it social, political or economical after Independence as the nation lacked infrastructure. There were many wrong decisions taken by the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and as a result India is still suffering. Indian Politics after Independence had deteriorated to a great extent and corruption has over-powered it so much that it has become even worst in the recent times.
