The Indian NRI’s children usually lag in developing emotional bonding with their kinship who reside in India. Due to a long disassociation the children of same lineage become completely foreigners to their own kin. They observe problems in developing compassionate feelings for their offspring and it becomes very formal for them to meet and stay with the kin whenever they visit India. They feel quite uncomfortable and shy in getting familiar with the offspring and here the offspring have to make extra efforts to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. This all happens just because of the long gap and less communication between the kinship. It is the responsibility of the NRI parents to introduce their children with their Indian kin frequently. Parents should always give a reference of their family and their relatives so that the children feel connected with their Indian kin even if they are miles away. Through the medium of technology it has become too much easy to be connected with all our loved ones very easily thus the NRI parents should encourage their children to interact with their elders, and kin through phones or by using internet facility. And whenever they visit India, they should make their children meet with all the family members including the relatives, cousins and friends as well. This will surely help the children to reduce their shyness and unfamiliarity and also help them to develop emotional closeness with their kin and other family members living in India. what do you think about this?
