    Hi Proud Indians ,

We are closing in on the next lok sabha elections. Have we ever thought about the possible coalition partners in next government and their merits/De-merits in view of their past performance ? can we start a discussion on merits and de-merits of each political party we know well ?

Which is the political party that is most suitable for leading the ruling coalition government ? what are their qualifying points ? Do you have any suggestions for realignments in them to improve their performance ?

Parties in line : BJP ( Bharatiya Janta Party ) or Indian National Congress

OTHER CONSTITUENTS : Each person can give the title of the parties known to him best and offer his unbiased comments. The list could be in alphabetical order.

Comments should be based on facts without leaning on personel dislikes, Ones's political biasing , religious or cast considerations, regional considerations , Language considerations etc. Only ultimate national interest should be the main consideration.

India Govt. After the next Elections.

In my opinion Indian National Congress under a dynamic leadership will be most suited to lead the next Govt. after the next Elections. The leader should be forth-right,action-oriented, non-believer in false promises, sincerely promote Unity in Diversity, not succumb to black-mail tactics of coalition partners (for this he should command respect with dignity among coalition partners), maintain present leadership of India among world nations and improve on it, maintain sustained developmental activities etc..

The coalition partners should be selected not with a short term outlook of winning the election, but with a long-term out-look of forming sustained stable Government. All members of coalition should support the ONENESS of the Country.

Both BJP and Indian National Congress, for the interest of the Nation at large, should agree to discard from both the Groups, all mushroom parties who do not contribute to ONENESS of the Nation or those who will adapt BLACK-MAIL tactics and disturb the progress of the Country for their individual benefits. This is essential not only for forming a good government but also to function as a proper effective opposition.

This is my first contribution. Will follow with comments on various Political parties at a later stage.

    Next Elections....

Every one is entitled to their own opinions so I feel INC is the best option.

As 2014 -15 will be a period when the world will be going through a economic nightmare and India along with China will be the saving grace with some positive growth. To use this period to further our national interest in the world by showing the resilience in our economy and clearly differentiating it with the controlled economy of China we can move up in the list of nations.

To achieve this we need the proven duo of Man Mohan and Chidambaram to steer us thru. As in all likely hood no party will get the full majority Congress will be in a better position to forge a coalition. Man Mohan Singh should be declared the PM candidate right away. Another reason of backing Congress is they have the best team of young leaders like Sachin Pilot, scindia, tiwary and others. Its a good blend of youth and experience.

BJP on the other hand has a leadership crisis Advani ji is 80+ and is a candidate only to stop infighting among the tier two leaders. No one commands absolute sway over the party. The Talabanisation of the party is a cause for concern episodes like the Mangalore pub incident will move away the masses. Modi is a plus but also a big minus. RSS can be the only saving grace but their influence also acts in two ways.

One party I want to see defeated is Left not because I am against their policy but coz of their leader Prakash Karat who has a feeling he can have the cake and eat it too. Mayawati should be shown her right place in the indian politics by the people of UP. Dalits should walk out on in a big way. Muslims should vote freely for the candidate and not for the party on basis of a fatwa.

BJD should be shown the door in Orissa and a third front should come in Tamil Nadu other than Amma and Karunaniddi. Chandrababu naidu deserves to come back in Andhra. Given all this scenario Congress looks poised to come back with a coalition with new faces.

One man BJP will miss is late Pramod Mahajan.

  6. NDA is better than UPA

UPA is too soft on terror and always busy in minority appeasement.NDA has people who don't come because of their parents or husbands, you can expect they hav got some thing to get this far

India's golden future will be written by Advani... The ironman deserves the prime minister's post :)

there were terror strikes during NDA's rule also but at least they tried to curb it by introducing POTA...but the current congress led UPA is totally useless with no concerted efforts to crush militancy even after more than four months of Mumbai attacks.

present economic situation & its ineffective handling by FM altho our PM is an Oxford grad., inflation all have led to frustration among the junta.

i admit that Cong has more youth by his side with the likes of Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, Milind Deora,Jyotiraditya Schindia but they will follow the same family legacy by vouching for Rahul as the PM.

Not a single person is capable of achieving dream India 2020 and a PM can't do anything unless he has majority and support from his party man. At least nobody from congress can achieve the dream india.

I expect Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to come to power this time.

According to my view UPA is better than NDA.The policies are good. They can do right decision when they were in the problem.Remember that when the pakistani terrorist attack in mumbai the government take right decision and they can not aggresive, they can talk to pakistan. If the government can attack the pakistan than no solution can find. And our country are go back 10 years. As like America can face this problem. So UPA is better.

Bharatiya Janta Party should and will. We have good comparision between five years rule each by NDA and UPA. I think on the whole, National democratic alliance scores better on governance and deliverance.

^ My family is voting for BJP too

well i think Congress is well fitted to run the nation not BJP they seem like they still live in Middle Ages

Congress has a modern vision for India & Rahul Gandhi is young he may not be experienced but he looks motivated

P.S Obama is was not experienced either but look at him he is already solving economic crisis in his country

With election nearing, everyone is wondering about which party will form the next Government, will UPA Government remain or NDA will be back or there will be some third party in power. Seeing the present scenario of UPA, I do not think they will remain in power. If we consider some of the policies of NDA, they are more preferable. However, it is really hard to say which party will form Government in 2014 but whoever does should work for the development of the Nation by reforming the present policies.

The 2014 Loksabha election is nearing and people are becoming more inquisitive regarding who will be in power. It is a question that is hard to answer as the results are always unpredictable. Although it seems that Congress will not come back in power seeing the present scenario but it cannot be actually said. With the support of their allies, they can come back to power. In my view, even if they come back to power this time, they should work for the progress of the country and not for filling their pockets.
