There is ado of westernization in the contemporary Indian society. Indians are getting ‘westernized’ mind me not ‘modernized’ in terms of their thinking, activities, lifestyles, values, liking, communication, and ideologies. And here the process of westernization is coming like a threat to the Indian culture. People name it as advancement and improvisation but at the core the Indian cultural values, heritage and trends are fading in the westernized approaches and customs. People are likely to be more fascinated and influenced by the western culture. And under this influence a large number of Indians especially the youth is blindly imitating and picking up the deficiencies, vices and erroneous practices of the western culture that are weakening the foundation of our own culture.
