A family is considered to be the cornerstone of the Indian social system, in fact our social system entirely believes that it is only the family that can bestow the best upbringing for a child. It is only a family that creates a man and his personality. We Indian have always been engrossed in family relationships and we have been intentionally taught to obey and respect the dignity and the importance of a family. In India, a family is not just an amalgamation of a few people at a same place/house but rather it is a symbol of affection, cooperation, harmony and brotherhood. The relationships that we have in our family are also important to us. We give much regards and show compassion for each of the relationship (mother, sister, brother, children, parents, relatives, cousins, friends) we are involved with. Each member of the family has something special to show and to teach to each other, being a family member we feel much connected and responsible to create a harmonious atmosphere for the younger as well as the other members. The personality of a person is much influenced by the family he/she belongs to, that is why we Indians try to maintain the highest standards of living in a family so that the young generation can set examples on the behalf of their lineage. It is only in India where relationships are taken with so much of care and concern, because we do believe that relationships add colors to the life and they introduce different shades of our personality. Relationships make us humble, cooperative and compassionate, they show the beautiful side of the life and people and they also make us realize that playing different roles could be so enjoyable for a person. We are proud to be born in such a great land that has given us the legacy of Family and Relationships. And the culture that has taught us that family makes a man.
