India will develop its eighth Sukhoi SU-30 combat jet squadron by this december end. This would be done at the Sirsa airbase in haryana and this would be the third Sukhoi SU-30 Squadron of Indian air force which would be deployed near to Pakistan. India had first signed up a deal in 1997 when it bought 50 places from Russia. And now India has plans to operate 17 Sukhoi Squadrons by 2018. I believe IAF is going slow about it if that is really the target.
