Sachin Pilot added that “convergence has happened faster than anyone expected”, and Minister said it is now time for India’s ICT players and government regulators to collaborate to provide high speed India broadband services in rural areas in India, with optimum services at Low prices. “Different parts of the India have different definition [for broadband connectivity],” said Sachin Pilot. “However, it should make a tangible difference in people’s lives we are targeting.” The Convergence India Expo attracted about 430 exhibitors from 25 Nations , and hosted fifteen Hundred delegates who discussed the next generation applications they believe could empower a billion lives in India. htt p://www .rapidtvnews .com/ index.php/2011032711155/indian-broadband-use-set-to-enter-global-top-ten.html#ixzz1HsnJX0r6
wow, the growth of indian broadband seems to be amazing. good to know that india would be in top 10 broadband users. but then the speed of internet has to be improved comparing to international standards because the speeds we get in rural and sometimes even in urban areas are low. but i think in the coming days even this would get solved.
Thats a great news! Since the internet service providers have grown in numbers, the service has become cheaper due to high competition and exceeding number of broadband service users. Indeed the users are ought to grow since its the age of pancake people and the internet service is quite cheaper in India.
