There has been tremendous change in security relations between India and America. From being enemies of a cold war to becoming allies in present it has been a long and gradual journey. Before America had good relations with Pakistan on the basis of economics and strategies but post 9/11 America have done well to realize what mistakes they had made. China on the other hand has always poised a threat not only to India but also to America. America realized that china was being the potential threat and providing continuous support to Pakistan with high tech weapons and financial aid to support terrorism and create mass destruction throughout the entire globe. Osama Bin Laden who was the mastermind behind the 9/11 Terror attack on America’s WTC {WORLD TRADE CENTRE}, and the Pentagon was recently tracked and hacked down by American military forces in his hideout close to a Pakistan military base on the outskirts of Islamabad. Pakistan and china are two nations that have been beside each other for a long time in sorrow and in joy, in the good and in the bad. The relation between the two countries poses a threat to India. India single handedly mad not be able to tackle attacks from these countries and will need a support from behind. Hence the nuclear deal between India and America could be a deciding factor in determining the relation between India and USA. The INDIA AMERICA PACT could prove to be a great step to strengthen relations between the two nations. The first step was probably taken when President Clinton visited India in 2000 and that probably laid down the foundations of a India America alliance. Maybe then it was not known that this alliance could be a major step to counter the Pakistan China nexus. There is a great possibility of good security relations between India and America in order to curb down the growing power of china and that could also eradicate the threats of a nuclear war against India. Though in last ten years there's lots of improvement in India america bilateral and economic relations because India is fastest growing economy and america do have its interest in fastest growing and emerging market and because of this fact there was three president visits in last ten years as compared to three visits in during 1947 to 1999. It is the same america which imposes hell lot of sanctions during post cold war era.

america is a nation which acts according to its needs. india should not trust america completely on its alliance against pakistan and china nexus. the reason attributed for this is that pakistan is still receiving arms, weaponry and technology from america as an aide. so we never know if america changes its alliance. india should make itself strong and be prepared to take on any nation.
