Adolescence is a very tender age that is somewhere close to the teenage. This is a stage where the child is observing the things very deeply and creating a strong impression of each and every activity in his mind. Each action and activity leaves a very deep impact on the mind of an adolescent child thus it is very much essential to make the right choices of the tasks and actions. Adolescents are coming under a deep impact of social media these days. I would rather say that they have been astonished by the dazzling and frolic faces of this social media. However they are very young to understand the right purpose of using the social networking sites but still, they want to be engrossed in it as much as possible. They can only apprehend that the social networking sites have a 'Fun & Entertainment' factor into it that attracts them immensely. In fact they find it as a pool of information, they can explore anything whatever they want to but they are totally ignorant of the actual productivity of social media. This is something they would understand in a long run. Small kids are having their profile pages, there is an excitement to see the 'likes' for their doremon pictures, and cartoon characters. They very well adapt the slang language and use it more frequently. This all, somewhere do divert their focus of the mind and concentration. They need to be guided by their parents, teachers and other elders of the family about making a right use of social media and not merely taking it as a medium of fun.
I very much agree with what you say here. I think Social networking sites are not bad but its the way you project them to your children . And what will be the right way is what i dont know , my daughter is 2 year old and I am sure in todays generation only psycologist will help better
