The mobile phone market or rather the Smartphone market in India is flooded with new phones by different manufacturers. After the huge manufacturers of Smartphone like Apple, Blackberry, Sony and Samsung, HTC has launched its new HTC One Max. This phone falls in the category of phablets. This new Smartphone from HTC has been designed similar to its predecessor HTC One but has a few additional features, which can distinguish it easily. This phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 53,909. Here is a better and closer look on the different aspects of this new phone from HTC.
Design and Display
The new HTC One Max is quite a bulky phone as it weighs approx. 217 grams and measures 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.3 mm, which is quite huge as compared to other phones of the similar price bracket. This can actually turn out to be a negative thing for the phone. This phone as well has the similar metal thread that its predecessor has. However, the brushed aluminium shell of this phone, which is removable, lends a classy look to it. In addition, the power button is placed on the side. This time the phone supports micro-SIM and there is a slot for inserting microSD cards. A new feature has been added to this phone, which is a highlight, is the fingerprint sensor. It is located on the rear of the phone and enables users to unlock simply by touching. It features a 5.9 inch Full HD display with Super LCD3 panel along with pixel density of around 373 PPI, which is quite good but not to an extent that you can spot individual pixels.
Performance and Operating System
Equipped with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, this phone seems to offer better and faster performance as compared to its predecessors. In addition, the 2 GB RAM of this phone helps in smoothing functioning of applications as well as facilitates multitasking. For enriched graphics and visuals, there is an Adreno 320 GPU. It comes in two versions, one is 16 GB and the other is 32 GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 64 GB, which is sufficient for a phone’s internal memory. This phone runs on the latest Android Jelly Bean 4.3, which is user-friendly as well as comes with several advance features.
Multimedia
The HTC One Max sports a 4 megapixel camera on the rear that makes use of Ultrapixel technology to deliver high-quality images. There is also a front facing camera that has a maximum effective resolution of 2.1 MP with 88° wide angle lens that has HDR capability. The primary camera features smart flash that has five levels of flash, which automatically set by sensing the distance to subject. Both the cameras support 1080 p full HD video recording. The camera also has continuous shooting mode and Slow motion video recording with variable speed playback. The highlights of this phone are HTC Zoe with Sequence Shot, Gallery with Video Highlights, Always Smile and Object Removal, and HTC Share. It boasts of the Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers that can sense voice HTC BoomSound™ technology for delivering crisp and clear sound. It supports playback of audio and video files in different formats and is quite appreciable.

After seeing all the factors of this phone along with its price, according to me it is highly priced as compared to the phones of other brands. It comparatively has lesser features and functionalities with a higher price. However, it is a decent phone with decent performance. What do you Proud Indians think?
