    Optimizing the broadband connection helps in getting maximum speed which is desired by everyone. Many may be wondering about how to optimize it. Here are some simple steps to optimize the broadband connection and get maximum out of it. All you need to do is follow 3 simple steps.

    1. Modify the MTU settings: MTU settings can be modified by logging in to the router. MTU settings is based depending on the connection. Recommended MTU settings are:
    ADSL PPPOE = 1492 MTU
    ADSL STATIC IP = 1500 MTU
    SDSL = 1500
    VDSL = 1500
    HDSL = 1500
    IDSL = 1500
    CABLE = 1500

    2. Change DNS to OPENDNS: The speed of DNS service decides the loading speed of a website. OPENDNS is extremely fast and takes less time in loading a website as compared to DNS. So it is recommended to change DNS to OPENDNS.

    3. Secure the wireless network: It is always recommended to make the wireless network security-enabled because, if it is not security enabled then others might be using the network and this will slow down the connection.
