    Hi Friends :)

I am Dhruv...Planning to apply for a PR for Australia.

I just want to know as to Hows life in Australia? Hows the people over there?

Would need help from people already staying in Australia regarding the Work Culture, the Atmosphere, People, surroundings, How difficult or easy it is to survive in Australia. It would be great if people in Australia advise and tell me their view points.

guess you dont watch much TV,

recently an indian has been attacked there by locals and they've made it a "RACISM" issue.

But all in all, Depends on which part of Australia you'll be going to. But people are pretty aware of Labour law there so whatever work you do, You'll still be respected. Australians are pretty laid back people, so i guess it wont be too much of a problem and employment opportunities are pretty good too. Once you complete the course it woulnt be too difficult to get the work visa too, and getting it citizenship is also not that difficult.

But I'd suggest, also look at options in New Zealand, though their Education structure is pretty different, But heard that New Zealand is the place to be :)

If you want to come for further studies, australia is a good place but I suggest you to come to Australia after all this racism issues are over. But if you are planning for earning in Australia then let me tell you Australia is facing recession and getting job is very very difficult at least for those who don't have any Australian experience.

Why go anywhere when India is so beautiful.

Not to worry, wait and watch

I believe you can go to Australia without any fear. I have been seen racial behaviour in many western countries though few with physical attacks.

My obervation is that people in these countries which includes Europe, US, Canada and other western countries, do not want to go for higher education. They are busy from teenage in sex, drugs and games. However, their companies and government understand importance of qualified people and hence they want qualified migrants or people from other countries for studies in their Universities.

However local people takes immigrants as their job takers, even though they are not capable of taking on such highly skilled jobs.

There are open direct or indirect racial problems in some of these countries. However government can not allow such racial problem openly in the name of humanity and promoters of democracy they will have to protect these migrants somehow. So I believe there will be some strong action from government unless there some big issues.

    Many Thanks

thats because they get a VERY luxurious life here in India.

their standard of living is raised 5 times just by shifting from some developed country to a developing country India.

Why go to AUS in the first place, we have got colleges and universities which are ten times better than majority of AUS univs. Most guys go there because their parents can afford it plus for other benefits like you don't need to attend classes (off course you are making them rich, so you get special previledges).
