I would never vote. And I feel 30 percent of the population would feel the same. I have no relatives in politics nor I have any bussiness dealings with any party. So, it completely makes no sense voting wasting your time.

This is completely a wrong feeling.. Sorry dude but if you really want to see any change in the country then you must vote.. or else you will be living in the same corrupted world forever..

Absolutely right. But what can be done if people say that they are fine in living their own life and not to join any political issues. What can be done if they are not at all interested in developing their country's future.

    This is INDIA my friend.

It gives me immense pride when I vote.

I have seen a couple of comments in this thread which are a bit worrisome for me.

If we do not like the politics then we need to do our bit to clean it or we should choose lesser of the evils that are available. All the decent and ordinary people of this country...

    1. Please ensure that you have a Vote and cast your Vote
    2. Follow what the Governments and Parties are doing and form your opinions on their doings.
    3. If you have time and energy participate in politics from whatever platform that is appropriate in your opinion

If we can do the above three things then we can change the politics and can make this a better country.

For this topic ...am not having very good knowledge on politics, but always i use my Vote to elect a proper Leader.

I believe if you elect a good leader in your area...it definitely change above as well...so always vote and vote for good

definitely good things will turn...might be slow..but for sure...things will turn up

    Our legal right

Voting is our legal right and we should make full use of it. Ii is the votes that the future government will depend upon. The candidate we choose for ourselves will represent India in the global platform and is supposed to think for the benefit of the masses. Thus one should feel proud after casting a vote. It’s a duty that every citizen must fulfill.

Voting is not only our birth right but also our responsibility. Well looking at current political circumstances, it is true that while voting it becomes quite confusing, whether we are choosing the right leader. But then, by not voting we are sure that we letting our country fall into the hands of incompetent people. Therefore it is better to do your bit, by voting for the party that according to you are right. In this way at least we are raising the bar for all the parties to play judiciously.

the feelings which come out when you vote are quite paradoxical. i felt happy that im utlizing my rights as citizen and contributing in electing the right person/party. but at the end the person or party i choose are not completely efficient and truthful to the society. so at the end its worth nothing.
