“bura naa dekho, bura naa suno, bura naa bolo”. This has been an important ideology prescribed in our great Indian culture because what we see and hear does have a direct correlation with our thoughts and actions. Even the spiritual masters of ancient India stressed too much upon the relevance of directing the sense in the righteous direction. According to them, human beings should make the right use of their senses (eyes, ears and mouth) and should not feed them with futile and unnecessary things. It's just like what we see, will be manifested in our thoughts and what we think is what we become. Media these days is playing an active role in feeding our senses to a greater extent. But what kind of stuff the media are serving in our plates is a serious matter of concern. Talking about the horror shows/programs aired on Indian television, one cannot really make out the relevance for it. Showing horror, terrifying the audience, feeding their senses with contrived and fabricated horror scenes! I mean what efficacy does the television media thinks to serve to the Indian audience? I strictly see no productiveness in each and every horror program aired on television. Media is accountable towards the audience to present something in front them that is truly worth watching, that gives some good directions to the audience something that brings goodness and something positive in their lives. Can a horror show really do so? Media cannot make an easy escape by simply saying that we serve, what the audience wants to see, it's all just for their Entertainment, and here audience says that we see, what the media is serving to us! But here someone has to take the responsibility to cut this ongoing chain of seeing wrong and serving the wrong. It's not a blame game rather it’s a serious matter for serving the audience with astute and fruitful substance and not something that agitates the horrifies the people.
