    Honda, the popular name in the automobile market has launched its new sedan car City i-DTEC, which is the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] generation Honda City car. This new car comes with all advanced features and is an enhanced version of the previous model. The main highlight of this car is the two engines and the pin-up is the 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine from the Earth Dream Technology series. The new Honda city is the most fuel efficient sedan available in the Indian automobile market.

    Design and Interiors

    The new Honda City that is recently launched looks more classy as compared to its predecessors. Honda did not fiddle with the thriving styling of the previous version and hence the new one is more advanced. It features the 'H' design idea and the front has the typical Honda face with sharp headlamps and a huge chrome grille. The interior of this new car is amazingly stylish and comfortable with visible alterations and the cabin is upgraded. The design is untainted Honda with being quite innovative. The new City also features a number of advanced features like steering wheel with buttons for cruise control, auto AC with touchscreen control panel, Rear A/C vents, One Push Engine Start/Stop button with Honda Smart Key System, integrated audio system with 8 speakers and 5 inch screen, Audio and hands-free control, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity and rear Parking camera to name a few. The new model comes with sufficient legroom both at the front and rear along with an elongated wheelbase. The new City has a 510l boot which is large enough. The safety features of the new City are Driver and front passenger airbags, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) which comes standard across diesel and petrol CVT variants and Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) which prevents wheel locking.

    Performance, Technology , Engine and Fuel Efficiency

    The new Honda City i-DTEC comes with a 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine making 98 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. This engine is exceptionally competent with a mileage of 26 kmpl, which makes it most fuel efficient. It has a 6-speed manual gearbox, which means an extra gear over the Amaze. There is hardly any turbo-lag and it feels quite fast and responsive which is important. The new City has MacPherson Strut front suspension and High rigidity H shaped twist beam rear suspension which results in a more comfortable ride than before. The handling is impressive too though bigger tyres would have been much appreciated. The new City has electronic power steering which provides life to the car.
