It is the time when women are getting empowered and utilizing the tools of education and knowledge at their best. At least the educated women are somewhere better expressed and heard in the present scenario. And this is where the social media has added boon to the empowerment process of women. Social media has certainly given a platform where the women can express their feelings, views, thoughts and ideas about various and diversified issues. It has also been a platform where the women have also succeeded in expressing their thoughts and views related to the many disturbing issues like rape, molestation, crimes and harassment against them. And what is encouraging over here is the support of the general people that is greatly received by the women. May it be any indecent act done against the women, it can no longer be hidden for too long. Social media have particularly encouraged the working women who sometimes have to deal with the awful acts of molestation and harassment from the males; being superior to them. Now the women are not finding it right to stay silent and not raising their voice, at least they have the weapon of social media in their hands that they might use for making the people see against the hidden reality of the male chauvinists. Social media has immensely helped the rape survivors by making them see that the world around them is not sitting silent, there are people who are constantly raising their voices against the crimes and injustice committed against the women.
