HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL MY INDIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS! Here's a poem I wrote, as an adoration to mother India, our glorious Bharat Mata! Vande Maataram!

    India, the salutation to

Hear me sing my song, my humble verses along,
O Holy land of the brave, the nation old and young,
For long you have slept, for long we have wept,
But the time has come, to have the promises kept,

You O light eternal, you the sacred Aryan land,
You the youth undying, you the nation forever grand,
You O sacred India, be hailed by words we sing,
And shower us all, with your divine blessing.

Ancient land aged ages, much has been lost,
Through ages of thirst, eons of storms and frost,
Yet you, the divine flame, shone on and on
To witness your sons and daughters reborn!

Who dares to doubt your strength, O forever adored?
For you our hands rise, under your fiery sword,
Foes tremble seeing you rise, above fires and haze,
The unbeaten mother Goddess, of the valorous Aryan race.

In you our dreams take form, through storms and rain,
In you our voices meet, of those living or slain,
In you we live to see, the success of life and love,
And bless us this day, from your mighty throne above!

    - With a thousand salutations to the glorious feet of Mother India, the mother of the Aryans
