The Gujrati culture is one of the most vibrant and colourful and so the weddings. Like any other festivals, the weddings are also celebrated in a grand and coulorful way. It is celebrated in a traditional and ritualistic way. Gujrati wedding starts with sagai. The other pre-wedding ceremonies are pithi, mehendi and mandap muharat. They also perform Grihasti puja before the wedding. They follow the complete Indian tradition. It starts with Jaimala followed by varmala, kanyadan and mangal phere. The post wedding ritual includes Vidai, Ghar Ni Laxmi,Aeki Beki which is game that is played by the bride and the groom, where they are asked to find a ring from the bowl of water and it is signifies that whoever finds the ring 4-7 time will rule the household. This ritual is than followed by Reception, where the bride is formally introduced to the groom’s family and is a grand affair.
