The state of Haryana was formed in the year of 1966 on 1st November on the recommendation of Sardar Hukam Singh Parliamentary Committee. The economy of Haryana depends on retail, manufacturing, agriculture as well as business process outsourcing.
Haryana is a very rich state where majority of its economy depends on agricultural activities. However, the state has slowly managed to industrialize greatly over the time. Haryana has the largest paper mill (Ballarpur industries limited). It also has the largest sugar factory as the state has rich production of sugarcane. Ambala city of haryana is the largest manufacturer of Scientific apparatus throughout the country.
