One of the potential problem which India would face in the future is water scarcity. It is estimated that the demand for the water would go up to 1093 billion cubic meters by year 2025. And it is highly impossible that the conventional ways of water management and resources can supplement this demand. One of the best ways to meet this surging demand is re-use of grey water. It is the non-potable water coming from showers, kitchens and bathrooms. This water can be easily recycled and be made potable. Another way is to re-use this water for flushing and for fire safety. But we would need strong policy reforms from now itself to bring about this change across the country. Any views on this?
