Delhi is now not only the capital of India but has become infamously famous as the national capital of rape. A 23 year old girl, who was a paramedical student, is fight with death after being cruelly beaten and raped by 5 drunken men in a charted moving bus two days back. She was going from South Delhi towards Palam along with her friend who is an engineer and when he resisted the act, he was also brutally beaten up and both were thrown out of the moving bus in Mahipalpur. The girl is still in the ventilator system in the Safdarjung Hospital. The doctors said that her intestines have been damaged and had been badly injured in her genitals. The rapes are seen to be increasing, especially in Delhi and NCR region. The National capital has become unsafe for women and this is a matter of utter shame and disgrace for the Government and its machineries. This incident proves the inefficiency of our laws and law governing bodies. However, in my opinion, every one should join hands and step forward in fighting against the increasing crime against women in India and help in providing justice to this young girl who is fighting between life and death.
