India has relied in the past on Soviet Union for Defence weoponry. Even after the end of USSR, it has similar ties with Russia. We tried in collaborating with US and UK but sanctions were imposed after Pokharan.Now that such sanctions have started being undone along with raising of FDI limit to 26%, and budget allocating $34 billion and private players like TATA coming into the arena, can we say that India is heading towards becoming a net exporter of Defenece weaponry and equipments from being a net importer as of now.
