Food safety is an important concern, be it India or any other nation. Ignorance of people in India is one of the reasons why food safety is not even close to below average. Ignorance is from both the ends, the consumer's perspective as well as the seller's perspective. Food safety and Standards Authority of India provides standards for regulation of Food safety which is checked by the food safety officers and inspectors.
