Numerous of young girls are being kidnapped and forcefully pushed into prostitution every year, the figures of kidnapping and girl's trafficking is increasing enormously. This is truly sad and shameful that we Indians ourselves have degraded the picture of women in our country, we have left no limits of objectifying the women. That is why every day the young girls are being kidnapped like commodities and later sold and used and fed to the lecherous monsters of flesh. just to remind the vulnerability of young girls that how suddenly they get lost or missing and leave behind many doubts about whether they would return or not, a Kolkata based artist has come up with an idea of creating huge faceless portraits of young girls who get missing and become the prey of prostitution. She is Leena Kejriwal who wants to show the darker side of the reality and while keeping this view in her mind she conceived the idea of setting up large iron and fibreglass made sculptures of girls mounting from 12ft to 15ft of height in at least 10 cities across India. To make her idea more visible she is also working upon creating a mobile App that would allow the people to get interactive with the NGOs which have been working about the trafficking of girls and many other issues related to young girls.
